Digital Opportunities for the Future: Charte’s September Beneficiaries

October 26, 2026

In today's world, the quality of education is largely determined by access to digital resources. When school curricula, foreign language studies, or university preparation move into digital spaces, a computer ceases to be just an auxiliary item and becomes a fundamental tool for development.

To create these opportunities, SCAPP continues its support for the students of "Charte." In September, at the start of the new academic year, four high school students living in Samegrelo were provided with personal laptops under the project. For each of them, having their own computer is a way to deepen their interests and independently achieve their goals.

Before getting his laptop, tackling complex school assignments was an uphill battle for Alex. Today, that routine looks entirely different: he builds classroom presentations independently and streams video lessons across multiple subjects.

Alongside his digital coursework, he always makes time for literature. Reading remains his favorite pastime, driven by the conviction that books offer the purest path to knowledge.

Tatia is approaching an important milestone, currently deciding on both her degree and university. She feels certain that having internet access and a personal computer will bring clarity to that choice.

Mathematics is her favourite subject at school, and in her spare time, she loves tracking down answers to difficult questions that spark her curiosity. Reliable access to online materials now lets her study those topics in depth, laying solid groundwork for upcoming university life.

Mariam, also a high school senior, has her sights set firmly on Tbilisi State University. The laptop has already become part of her daily study routine: handling homework, gathering research material, and sharpening her English through YouTube lessons.

A natural affinity for working with children and a love for foreign languages inspired Nini to become an English teacher. Her next step is already mapped out: she is preparing for admission to Shota Meskhia State Teaching University in Zugdidi.

Outside of school prep, Nini enjoys culinary arts and picking up new languages. The computer serves as a practical, day-to-day asset, helping her polish her language proficiency while discovering modern classroom methods and learning materials.

The partnership between SCAPP and Charte rests on a straightforward conviction: talent and hard work only flourish when backed by the right environment and timely support. When young people have the means to put their ideas into practice, major ambitions turn into real progress.

And for Alex, Tatia, Mariam, and Nini, that journey starts with these very steps.
