At SCAPP, we believe that a strong rural sector underpins a country’s long-term success and that empowering local youth entrepreneurs is key to making it a reality.
For this reason, we are proud to support the Mercy Corps representation in Georgia and, since January 2026, to contribute to the implementation of the project “Youth Entrepreneurship for Rural Development.”
The project is structured to develop practical skills and turn their ideas into new or growing businesses through targeted support and real opportunities.
Within the framework of the project:
The project is implemented over 36 months: October 2025 – September 2028, and covers 4 regions and 21 municipalities across Georgia:
Kvemo Kartli: Rustavi, Gardabani, Marneuli, Bolnisi, Tetritskaro, Tsalka, Dmanisi;
Samtskhe-Javakheti: Adigeni, Akhaltsikhe, Aspindza, Borjomi, Akhalkalaki, Ninotsminda;
Adjara: Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Shuakhevi, Keda, Khulo;
Guria: Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Chokhatauri.
The project supports young entrepreneurs through a combination of financial grants and the sharing of practical knowledge and experience via training and mentorship programs.
Phase II of the project is funded by International Partnerships Austria, implemented by Mercy Corps Georgia, and supported by MFO SCAPP and Socar Georgia Petroleum.
Applications are open until April 30.
To date, more than 2,000 young people have expressed interest in participating in the project.
