RDYE Project is joined by 2,500 young entrepreneurs

MFO SCAPP  is a partner of the Youth Entrepreneurship for Rural Development (RDYE) project. 

RDYE aims to develop the entrepreneurial skills and opportunities of young people living in rural areas by supporting the creation of new businesses and the expansion of existing activities. 

The project is being implemented over a period of 36 months (October 2025 – September 2028) and covers 21 municipalities in four regions of Georgia. 

During the registration phase, the RDYE project attracted higher-than-expected interest, and 2,584 young entrepreneurs expressed their willingness to participate.

Among the participants, Women account for 51% of participants, and men for 49%. 

The regional distribution is as follows:

• Kvemo Kartli - 31%
• Samtskhe Javakheti - 29%
• Adjara - 27%
• Guria - 13%

What is the next stage of the RDYE project?

The project has already moved into the practical phase. Currently, two-day training sessions on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship are underway.

The first wave of training sessions has already been successfully conducted in the following municipalities:

• Bolnisi
• Gardabani
• Shuakhevi
• Tsalka
• Lanchkhuti
• Rustavi

A total of 120 training sessions are planned across 4 regions of Georgia as part of the project. Following this, the participants will undergo a 7-day Business Entrepreneurship Training (BET) and shape their ideas into business plans. 

At the final stage of RDYE, at least 65 young entrepreneurs will receive grants of up to GEL 30,000, enabling them to implement their business ideas.

For SCAPP, as a financial supporter of the project, it is important to promote the development of youth entrepreneurship and strengthen economic opportunities in the regions. The organization continues to support initiatives that help local young people realize their potential.
